Altitude+

Altitude+ (or Alti+ for short) is a wrapper system around the Altitude game. It provides additional features and tools for map makers to create extended game types. It also provides an easier administration interface for server admins.

Alti+ Types

In addition to enhancing existing game modes, the Alti+ server provides for new game types.

Type Description
1fa 1-life FFA (or 2-life, 3-life, etc.)
1lh A form of 1dm with restricted planes and 1 shot kills
flag Capture the opponent's flag to score
mdg Asymmetric game play with one player defending against many
race Speed, precision, and lapping your opponent are race goals
ruin Total destruction of your opponents infrastructure is the goal
tag Try to be it for as long as possible to win tag types

Specialty Games

Game Description
ball_half_court Both teams share a goal
ball_dodgeball Being hit with the ball gets you out
ball_whl Football reinvented

Alti+ Maps

Alti+ maps can have a special file named plus.txt contained in them. If this file exists, it is used to configure the server. Other than that, they are normal Altitude maps. To get an idea of the different types of games avaialable on Alti+ server, see the original Alti+ Forum Thread. Visit the Altitude Map Archive to search for maps.

Alti+ Servers

Name Description
Map QA This server is for testing new maps, and often doesn't have many too choose from.
Team+ This is the production Alti+ server for team oriented maps (TBD, BALL, TDM, Race, MDG, Ruin, Flag, Tag, 1LH)
Football+ The Football+ server, ball_whl is the only map in rotation on this server.
Coop+ The Alti+ enhanced Coop
Coop+Advanced Advanced Coop maps (mostly 1DE) with very little modification
