This is an old revision of the document!
Altitude+ (or Alti+ for short) is a wrapper system around the Altitude game. It provides additional features and tools for map makers to create extended game types. It also provides an easier administration interface for server admins.
In addition to enhancing existing game modes, the Alti+ server provides for new game types.
|1lh||A form of 1dm with restricted planes and 1 shot kills|
|flag||Capture the opponent's flag to score|
|mdg||Asymmetric game play with one player defending against many|
|race||Speed, precision, and lapping your opponent are race goals|
|ruin||Total destruction of your opponents infrastructure is the goal|
|tag||Try to be it for as long as possible to win tag types|
|Map QA||This server is for testing new maps, and often doesn't have many too choose from.|
|Team+||This is the production Alti+ server for team oriented maps (TBD, BALL, TDM, Race, MDG, Ruin, Flag, Tag, 1LH)|
|Football+ (US)||The North American Football+ server, ball_whl is the only map in rotation on this server.|
|Football+ (EU)||The European Football+ server, ball_whl is the only map in rotation on this server.|
|Coop+||The Alti+ enhanced Coop|
|Coop+Advanced||Advanced Coop maps (mostly 1DE) with very little modification|
See the Alti+ server policy for more information on playing these servers.
Alti+ maps can have a special file named
plus.txt contained in them. If this file exists, it is used to configure the server. Other than that, they are normal Altitude maps. To get an idea of the different types of games avaialable on Alti+ server, see the original Alti+ Forum Thread.
For details on making Alti+ maps, see the alti-server page on GitHub. The Readme file contains information about all the additional commands available to map makers. See below for tips and tricks.
